Brief
Creating a comprehensive identity for a premium marijuana brand that emphasizes the healing nature, approachable luxury, and sustainability of its products.
The process consisted of creating a visual identity, then a logo based on that visual identity, then the brand guidelines.
Visual Identity
Before constructing any visual examples for my client to choose from I started with researching cannabis competitors and other luxury cannabis brands to take note of any visual design elements and product trends in the industry.
After gathering research I took my client's description of the visual idea behind her brand and carefully broke them down into three descriptive words that would visually guide the representation of each visual identity. I then spent hours carefully curating images that would illustrate all three territories. I packaged these elements into a presentation for my client and presented them to her in order for her to select which visual territory would be the primary representation of her brand.
Transformative as the primary visual direction of the brand. This visual territory will influence the development of the logo, colors, typography, imagery and product application that I developed.
Logo
Colors
Mountain Ash colors are vibrant, inspire movement, and are joyful. We have a large variety of colors for artistic flexibility as a brand. Mountain Ash is represented by the primary /functional colors and accent colors listed. Some of these colors are also used in sub-brands in order to easily identify different types of marijuana strains and add to the Mountain Ash image. We have created color pallets by pairing background colors with accent colors for vibrant color combinations.
